Kristen Anne Bell (1980) is a popular American actress and singer. She was born and raised in Huntington Woods, Michigan, and is the daughter of Lorelei (Frygier), an RN as well as Tom Bell, a television news director. She is of Polish (mother's) as well as German (father's), English, Irish and Scottish ancestry. Kristen's passion for acting was recognized at an early age. In 1992, she went to her first audition. She was successful and got a role in Raggedy Ann and Andy. Bell's mother established her with an agent before she was thirteen, and she was subsequently cast for television and newspaper commercials. Additionally, she began to take acting lessons privately. Bell was in a role of minor importance that was not credited to her in Polish Wedding (1998), in 1998. Bell went to Shrine Catholic High School, where she took part in drama and music club. She won the starring role as Dorothy in the school's performance of The Wizard of Oz. Bell attended an institution called the Tisch School of the Arts in New York City, where she studied Musical Theatre within New York City. Bell left college in 2001 when she took the role of Becky to play Tom Sawyer. In 2001, it was also that Bell's first appearance in a credited film, Pootie Tang (2002). Unfortunately her scene was cut and the credits are all that display her. Bell made an appearance alongside Angela Bettis, Liam Neeson as well as in The Crucible Broadway performance of The Crucible in 2002.
